Are You a Boomer who is Ready for or On Medicare?

If, like most of our older hands, you are nearing 65 or are already 65, Medicare will be or is a part of your life. The many tiers of the policy can be a daunting task to understand especially Part D which is the drug coverage. This part of the program changes annually due to the providers, like Humana, who change their monthly premiums and coverage which understandably is necessary as drug costs constantly change and/or new drugs are introduced.

This link: http://www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicare_Part_D, not only explains Part D better than www.medicare.gov but has a wealth of knowledge and political history that you will find very interesting and an eye opener. Quite frankly I am in shock to find out how much is to be desired with the program and how poorly this part of the program is set up. Bureaucrats decide our fate unfortunately which is no surprise and to me, stinks of aiding the pharmaceutical companies' bottom line to their benefit throwing the American people into possible bankruptcy. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Health Reform Act of 2010 is and will be a disaster. If 'we the people' don't do our homework better we will find our pocketbook has been stolen if we have need of any medical procedure or simple health care visit to the doctor. Mind you, there are some benefits that really do give us a medical coverage break in cost but the overall expense is frightening. Check out the latest report by Fox:
