Cardinal Logistics Management Inc. of Concord and Greatwide Logistics Services of Dallas have completed a merger. Both are holdings of Centerbridge Partners, a private investment firm based in New York. The combined company will have annual revenue of more than $1 billion.
John Tague, who ran Greatwide, will run the combined company. Vin McLoughlin of Cardinal becomes vice chairman, a newly created position.

The combination creates a company with 5,000 drivers and 125 operating locations that provides trucking and logistics services in industries that include grocery, bulk food, retail, metals and building products.

“We are excited that this transaction creates an industry-leading logistics company that is supported by a strong customer base, experienced management team, best-in-class company drivers and owner-operators and a differentiated technology platform that enables creative, low-cost solutions for our customers,” Tague says.
